Many, many years ago, I read with J.P. Dancing Bear at the local cafe, and sent work to his journal, and was immensely grateful for his support. I once introduced him at a venue at the Petaluma Poetry Walk. Today, I finally read this little chapbook which he published in 2006 for The Sealey Challenge. Dancing Bear has worked continually in the world of poetry for so many decades. His dedication has always impressed me. I found voice in this poem is more mature and sensitive than his earlier works, and was quite charmed and moved by the beauty of his lines.
