The Sealey Challenge, Day 13: One Above & One Below by Erin Belieu

Belieu has heart and bite, and I can definitely understand and appreciate her voice. I am always interested in poets, especially women, who are contemporaries, and it looks like I'm a year Belieu's senior. In theory, it gives us some historical references in common. As I noted elsewhere, one phrase that struck me in this collection is: "what little bargains have you / failed to keep?"
