The Sealey Challenge, Day 15: A Year of Last Things by Michael Ondaatje

This book is a combination of poetry and prose, and while that made it hard to sink into within a single day of reading, it gave me the ability to appreciate the cerebral beauty of Ondaatje's lines. Ondaatje brings such an interesting set of life experiences to his writing: where he has lived, the things he has seen. I have never read more than a poem of his before, never read the prose he is best known for, but I can see why he is considered such an excellent read. My social media excerpt for this one: "Those who carry bees on their arm / like a dark flame."
