The Sealey Challenge, Day Twenty-five: Appalachian Elegy: Poetry and Place by bell hook

I enjoyed the introduction to this selection more than I did the poems themselves. But I do appreciate the heart and soul that went into bell's elegy of place, and it made me think of the landscapes of my own childhood, and how they have shaped me and live on in me as templates (for better and sometimes worse) of who and where I am, or should be.
