Based on a brief professional correspondence with Mr. Gander (regarding a library book request), I am under the impression that he's a lovely person. He's also a phenomenal poet, with a stunning lexicon and a way of saying things that leaves one seeing the world as though for the first time. Powerful, powerful work. And did I mention that he's a very personable gentleman?
