The Sealey Challenge, Day 14: One Secret Thing by Sharon Olds

As a mother of daughters and a daughter whose mother (in my case,  unlike Olds, wonderful & loving) has died, and as someone helping a mother-in-law with dementia, I could really relate to these poems.

I read this book on the local rapid transit train traveling to and from dropping off a book for a friend (research, and a loan from a distant library). If I was able to take public transport to work, this challenge would be a lot easier. I was finished before 7:30 - almost a first this month. I admit that as beneficial as reading 31 poetry books in 31 days can be, it makes it difficult to do other important things on my to-do list!
