I don't want to write too much about this book here, because I have just completed a review of it, which I am hoping to place in a literary journal soon. This also means (full disclosure) that today was not the first time I had read Block's fifth collection. I've been living with it every day, as one does when one writes a review. But simply re-reading it for the pleasure of it was a good sort of finishing rinse to the previous scrubbing and examination. If you'll pardon the clumsy metaphor.
