I made a point of introducing myself to Jane Satterfield at AWP in March, because she had chosen Kathleen Winter's book, I Will Not Kick My Friends for the Elixir Press Poetry prize, and I had reviewed the book.
When I chatted with Jane and she signed my copy of The Badass Brontës at Diode Edition's booth, she asked me if I had a favorite Brontë sister. I didn't know enough about them to say, and I still don't. But her book is fantastic - my favorite read so far this month - and now I do want to know so much more about them. Truly fascinating subjects. And a truly gorgeous book.
