Well, I am once again taking part in the Sealey Challenge.
I hadn't read Christopher Kempf before, but I found his debut, published by Four Way Books, to be an engaging start to this month's book-a-day goal.
Kempf does something with syntax - breaks in the lines, and the thought, like this - which reminds me of embroidery stitches. You have to pay attention to where the thread has gone, for that moment, but the patterns that emerge are beautiful. I enjoyed the classic Western canon allusions interspersed with current events, especially from the 80s and 90s.
