This book spoke to me on so many levels. Not just the subject matter, but also the voice, and Wickes' amazing capacity for sound-binding and meter. Her lines are not extremely formal - although there are many 8 stanza + 6 stanza sonnets. But she has such a fantastic ear. I loved this collection, which (apparently!) I have had since 2007, when she autographed it for me. Thank you, Helen.
